Craig-Schleiss House Tasman Bay

Designed as a second home for their son's family on the same property as the parents' house - that I designed a decade or more ago, this pole platform home needed to perch on the side of a moderately steep north facing slope with extensive views over Tasman Bay. This design provided for minimal earthworks on an existing roughly formed bench used for the access drive and garaging. A fairly standard floor plan layout with open plan main living spaces out front with large decks – and the bedroom ‘wing’ with all services arranged within a longer rectangle behind the main block; each end bedroom affording north sun and views as well.
